Overall, I really enjoyed this book a lot and would totally recommend it. For me, there was still something missing to make me fall head over heels in love with this book, though.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book a lot and would totally recommend it. For me, there was still something missing to make me fall head over heels in love with this book, though.
This was one of my favorite books in the series for how it treated very difficult and sensitive topics. Unfortunately, there were also other aspects that weren‘t handled well, but overall I still enjoyed this one a lot.
I listened to the audiobook of this and really enjoyed it. I was never bored and laughed out loud multiple times!
This wasn't as good as the first book and I had minor problems with some things, but overall I just loved every second of reading this book and I couldn't put it down.
I loved this one. It was cute and fun to read, and I fell in love with the protagonist. She reminded me so much of myself at 17 and it was just amazing to read about her story when I could see so much of my own life in it. Definitely a new favorite of mine!
For the first half of this book, I was absolutely in love with it and couldn't stop reading. But then the plot slowed down, it got too confusing, very whimsical and then there's just a whole lot of talk about music. It felt like the story didn't move on at all, and I got pretty bored. Overall, this unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations and just wasn't my kind of book.
I enjoyed this book but it was also a little more dramatic and complicated than it needed to be in my opinion. Just a few things that kept me from loving it, unfortunately.
Although this isn't my new favorite book of all times, I really enjoyed reading this cute and addicting story. It was pretty cliche at times but overall just an enjoyable and quick read.
My expectations for this book were pretty high and I'm sad to say that it didn't really meet them. The writing felt very off and the story didn't have a natural flow at all. Overall, this was quite disappointing for me.
I didn't enjoy this as much as the second book in the series but it was still a very solid and addicting conclusion to one of my favorite series. I read it super fast just because I absolutely couldn't put it down.
My favorite thing about Laini Taylor's books will always be her beautiful writing and her unique and wonderful fantasy worlds. Strange the Dreamer had all of that. This story was so magical and whimsical and I loved every second of it. Highly recommend!
I don't know why but I never got fully invested in this story. Not even the romance, which I've heard so many good things about, could really win me over. I might continue with the series at some point but for now I'm moving on to other things.
Even though this is primarily aimed at teenagers, I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook and felt like I could take away a lot from it anyway.
I listened to the audiobook of this, which I thought was nice since the author reads the book herself. But the actual book, I have a little conflicting feelings about. I loved the parts where Jenny talks about her mental illness and how it affects her life - this was very informative and well done. Unfortunately, this was only a small portion of the book, while the rest were stories of Jenny's life that were too absurd for me to find funny.
This was an amazing story about friendship, family, loss and grief. Incredibly beautifully written and 100% recommended.
Most of this book was kind of hopeless, depressing and sad, but I lived for the moments of light. To me, the characters are what makes this series so special, and they were all extra amazing in this last book. I highly recommend this trilogy, it's perfection through and through.
This was a lot more heartwrenching than the previous books in the series, but I thought it was so well done and loved the story overall. It definitely touches on some deeper stuff than the previous books.
This was just so cute and wonderful, and exactly what I hoped it would be.
This unfortunately wasn't quite as special as the first book. The characters were still amazing but they also had their stupid moments and overall there was a lot more drama etc. in this book which I just wasn't a huge fan of.
I've had really good luck with discovering amazing NA books, and this one was no exception. This is not your usual, full of stereotypes and lots of drama story. Instead we get fairly mature characters, a great friendship-to-love story and a main character in a weelchair. It was all around special and I highly recommend!
Just as good as the first one, and together they're definitely a must-read for any YA fantasy lover. My only complaint is that I would've needed about 400 pages of Epilogue to ever be okay with the fact that this story had an end.
This book totally lived up to the hype for me, and considering how much hype there was, that's all I really hoped for. A wonderful set of characters and an unforgettable quest - I loved everything about this book.
This was a beautiful but heartbreaking story that deals with different topics in a realistic way. It was also very well written and it made me laugh and cry and everything in between.
This definitely wasn't what I expected. Nothing really happened, and I also struggled with imagining all my beloved characters as parents of teenagers. I can't help but still picture them to be no older than 25. I also found it difficult to figure out which kid belonged to which parents and who was related and who wasn't.
Krista & Becca Ritchie are definitely among my favorite New Adult authors. This book just proved that to me. I loved everything, from the incredible circus atmosphere to the wonderfully complicated family dynamics. Definitely recommend.
By far my favorite book in the series! It was action packed and emotional and I just loved this conclusion of the series, even though I still have certain things that I would've preferred to be done differently.
This took me over two months to finish, so I was definitely a little bored and got distracted in the middle, but the ending made up for that so that I'm still continuong with the series.
This wasn't as good as the first two books in my opinion but I still enjoyed it a lot. A quick, addicting read.
An amazingly diverse book which takes place in one day. This made the romance a little more difficult for me to enjoy but I did anyway. The rest, especially the family dynamics, was absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend!
Such a wonderful and interesting read. It was also very well written so that I couldn't put it down. Just all around a book I definitely recommend!
This short story was a little mehh compared to the rest of the series. There just wasn't much there, but still an enjoyable and quick read.
Very intense conclusion to an addicting and well written series.
This series was absolutely addicting and I enjoyed this second book even more than the first.
This was difficult to read at times but I still enjoyed it. And the series got better after that, which was good.
This book had so much potential, but it turned out not quite as I had hoped it would. It covers such an important and difficult topic, but in a much too shallow way in my opinion.
This was a very cute story about learning to love who you are, but I just didn't really fall in love with it. It was just too over the top for me, I guess
After what seems like forever, I finally finished this book! The first part I really enjoyed, the second part not as much (I just do not like Frodo). Also the writing is so hard for me to read, but the story is absolutely worth it.
Unfortunately not as good as the previous books, but I still highly recommend this series for NA lovers! But be warned: it's highly addicting!
I did enjoy this book, but I also have high hopes that the series will still get better.
After I took a quick break from this book, I am now ready to dive back into the Grisha world!
I am so happy to say that I really enjoyed this book! After QoS, I was not sure how this would go, but turns out I worried over nothing! This series is definitely a must read for any YA fantasy lovers!
This is such a huge book and unfortunately it was a little too slow paced for me, which is why it took me about a month to finish it. But other than that, I really enjoyed the story and would definitely recommend to fantasy lovers.
This book was SO GOOD. I fell in love with this dark, messed up world. The characters are unique, the writing is beautiful; really, I have nothing to say other than everyone should go and read This Savage Song.
Another amazing New Adult series! The third book is released in October and I cannot wait. These books are so addicting!
For a Harry Potter book, this was a real disappointment. The story didn't add anything to the series and I just feel like it would have best been left unpublished.
