What a beautiful cover!
Big Bad Wolf came to Taiwan for the first time. Most people came for kids' books and here are all I got. Why is it that they are able to sell books at such a low price?

This is so gay and I love it. "My joy, my life, my rest."
What happened to those books? What these books mean to the Third Reich? A really good research on these topics and comes with a lot of forgotten stories.
A painful book to read but learnt a lot from the context and structure. Need a mojito to go with the reading.
Thos book contains so many ironic passages considering the author's #metoo allegation. Nonetheless I still appreciate his works.
(Actually another book by Shuichi Yoshida but not listed in Goodreads)

Finished the novel and will finish the Korean movie soon.
I just love this book so much! She talked about her love for books, words, and writings along with life experiences such as being a woman and mother. Many passages make me laugh!
A stunning read about poverty in an American city....
The Traditional Chinese translation really sucks!!!! Original version is superb.
After reading Who Will Run the Frog Hospital I suddenly want to re-read this book.
Next book club pick. I love "Bark" when I read it a few years before; most her story settings makes me long for the days I studied at UW-Madison. This one seems to be a total different story, reminding me the long gone girlhood and friendship.
Try to understand more.
20 years after The God of Small Things, finally her next novel!
Doing research for next month's book club pick. Sooooooooo tired.
Another WWII historical novel. Initially a bit put off by the cliche sister-or-foe plot, but it gets better.
Reading her works can sometimes be very difficult.
Had a shopping spree at Taipei Book Expo. Sooooooo excited!!
Really, how can you not love her? http://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/bookselling/article/72...
"In fact, the work I do, it isn‘t for me, really. It‘s for the people who don‘t have the privileges I do, who need someone to stand and speak and fight for them, with them. I am trying, with my writing and activism, to offer sanctuary..."
During the six-day lunar new year holiday, I didn't get to read a lot due to the traveling. But I managed to finish this almost 600-page Scandinavian Crime novel and feel accomplished for myself. I like Assad and Rose in the Department Q a lot more than the protagonist, Carl. However, the gender stereotypes in the book make me roll my eyes from time to time....Nevertheless, it's a wonderful trip.
Happy lunar new year!!!
Aren't these the most gorgeous gifts for a new year! Thank you Verso Books for the Worldwide freeeeeeeeeeee shipping!!!!!!
Reading this Scandinavian Crime classic in a winter night. Immerse myself in the severe weather in this book, my heart lives in Wisconsin with my dear friends.....Happy Thanksgiving!
Cried twice reading only 60% of the book. Wonderful.
First time reading an English graphic novel ... or comic? #neverforget
Haven't been recovered from the shocking election outcome after 10 days! So I decided to read the books NYT recommended....http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/11/10/books/6-books-to-help-understand-trumps-win.html
finished this book on a sick leave day because I can't sleep due to the constant coughing....like this book still.
a bit lost at the beginning. second half is getting better.
Read and cheer for the Packers. Jordy
Love the book when it came out in 2013. Finally watched the movie yesterday! it's exactly wht I've imagined, the scene, the love, the ocean, the lighthouse. I cried from the middle to the end. And I'm so happy it's Alicia Vikander acted as Isabel! I loved her when she's in Danish Girl. This movie is a five out of five!!!!!
we're almost there, now 74%....bring your Kindle to work day!!!
Next book club pick! Got 5 more days to read.....hope I can get it done by then!!
Love this book so far! It reminds me Ladder of the Years......
p: "regarding the pain of yours..."
Have a day off tomorrow due to a typhoon. Gonna finish this one!
