This book gripped my from the beginning. The characters are likeable and intriguing. The book follows a lady called Julia who is accused of the murder of her housemate. This book is shocking and literally kept me on the edge of my seat. It has plenty of twists, which I love. I really recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley and Olivia Isaac-Henry for an eARC of this book in return for an honest review. #netgalley #oliviaisaac-Henry #greatbook
LOVED this book. It was gripping from the start. It‘s told in dual timelines between two sisters, Laura and Rosie. Laura disappears after going on a date with a man she met online. Rosie is hesitant to call the police due to Laura‘s past and a traumatic childhood event. Can‘t recommend this enough. Thank you #Netgalley, #wendywalker and #orionbooks for an ebook ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
Recommended to me when I was going through an incredibly hard time. I wasn‘t optimistic and felt it would be a chore to read. Oh, how wrong I was. Sometimes it‘s easy to think that you‘re the only one who can feel this bad but it‘s a relief to know that someone else has felt the same way. You‘re entitled to feel how you do and the hardest step is reaching out. Highly recommended for anyone who is suffering from low mood, depression and/or anxiety.
Whilst my favourite still remains ‘Close to Home‘ this book is just as good. I read this in a day as I physically could not put it down. This book has so many twists that you just don‘t see coming. #3 in her series. #carahunter #DIFawley #bookreview #greatread #bookrecommendation
More twists and turns then a country road. This book delves into a close-knit community whose lives are suddenly turned upside down and put through a microscope after a mans wife goes missing. This book looks into each families lives with their dirty laundry being aired to their unsuspecting neighbours. It contains murder, deceit, adultery and denial, the perfect recipe. #sharilapena #greatbook #lovetoread #bookreview #bookrecommendation
Eleanor Oliphant is such a powerful book. It highlights how prevalent social isolation and loneliness is and its affects on society. I felt this book really showed how a simple act of kindness can change people‘s lives. I loved Eleanor‘s character, you root for her the whole way through. This book did the rounds at work in the nurses office and everyone loved it. #harpercollins #bookreview #greatread #bookrecommendation
