This was a really good book with my only criticism being that the ending was a bit too tidy. Otherwise it was a quick and intriguing read for me and I‘m interested to read the next two books in the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book ripped my heart to shreds! I honestly felt like I needed a hug throughout. The content is very heavy but it‘s a quick read as it is so very, very well written. Kudos to the author and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

Nute All these years later this remains one of my most favorite stories! So happy to see that you enjoyed it.🤗 2y
whatkhrysreads @Nute I did. Have you read the sequel? 2y
Nute I did read the sequel. I didn‘t enjoy it as much as the first book. The author rose to the occasion…she is a fantastic storyteller and seems to do a great amount of research regarding the historical events and atmosphere, but the protagonist, I didn‘t really feel any empathy towards him. Have you read it? What did you think? 2y

This is a wonderful story of family, life, love and liberty although the book does not present any of these in a traditional or typical manner. This book grew on me once I passed the first chapter. As always there are characters to love, like and dislike but this is a good read that I recommend to all. Can be read for #readcaribbean month

This book was so good I couldn‘t put it down. Not sure why it‘s labeled as satire because these things happen daily in the corporate world. Well worth the read and I gave it 5 ⭐️.

I cried throughout and at the end of this book! If you want some good wholesome Christian fiction look no further. Not only is it a good story you get some good Bible studies thrown in. Highly recommend all Kim‘s work. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

So this is happening for the first time as a buddy read with discussion at the end of the month. Have you read it, seen the movie or both and if so, in what order? I‘ve seen the movie and can‘t help but see it play in my head as I read although there are notable differences.

What can I say about this book? I‘ve had it so long but never read it. I mean the pages were yellowing. When I started it moons ago a scene early on turned me off. Fast forward and my buddy reader selects the book and I have ZERO regrets, well maybe one.... that I took so long to pick it up again. Sad story, yet absolutely beautifully written. I‘ll never forget it or how it made me feel 5🌟 (read in 2020).

I don‘t have the appropriate words to describe how I feel about this book except that everyone should read it. There is much pain and yet great hope woven into one beautifully told story.

When I first started reading this book in May I wasn‘t in the right space. My book buddy and I decided on this for our December read and WOW highly recommend. The dialect may be difficult at first but I encourage you to press through 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Have you read it? Let me know your thoughts.

JoyBlue I was hesitant to read this, but I'm so glad I did! I had to get used to the dialect (I read with my ears), but quickly got the hang of it and found it lovely. Wow sums it up for me, too. 3y

I‘m rereading the Promises of God series as Kim just released a new book! I needed a refresh on the characters, storylines etc. This story hit me hard, her writing is just impeccable and I‘ll never stop recommending her work. You may want to grab your Bible and a few tissues for this one 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
