My library didn‘t have physical copies of books 2 & 3, so I‘m listening to them on audio. Bronson Pinchot is an excellent narrator. This book is a bit gorier that the first, so I had to put it down a couple of times. But overall still good.

8 hrs for #20in4 — my total is somewhere around 13 hrs. I fail at timing myself when reading physical books.

Christopher Farnsworth incorporates historical figures and events into the story line. He also references horror movies as though they were previous cases, which I enjoyed.

I burned through the first two books in this series fast. I'd never heard of this series, and only came across them due to randomly trawling available audiobooks on Overdrive. From the blurb, I expected the storyline to be chronological from when Cade becomes a vampire, but boy was I wrong. These books are a fascinating mix of a modern spy thriller with a touch of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Supernatural. Really enjoyable!

Great read. Action from start to finish. It's like James Patterson meets Anne Rice.

I'm bailing on this one. It's not the book. It's me. Political thriller/military/vampires/weird lizard things. Just not my thang.

Forgot to carry a book with me. Thankfully, I have my trusty Kindle app on my phone. I got this awhile back. Sounded weird. I'm going on!

I've read the first in the series and liked the concept so I was pleased to see this pop up as an ebook special. The first one is not on sale but if you like vampire stories I recommend digging it up and trying out the series.
