Bk1 of #WinterReadathon is done. The first days of December have been..difficult, so I went with a smutty audiobook to cheer me up! Even though it has one of the worst covers in existence🙄. About vampires that aren‘t really vampires in the Carpathian Mountains, it‘s silly, and very very smutty. But made me happy👍.

I started this book this morning. I used to love this series but so far I am not enjoying the story. Maybe I have outgrown the series?

Bk2 of #JumpStart2020 is finished! Got some more trashy #audiopuzzling done today. This was the 2nd book in the “Dark” series by Feehan, this follows Jacques, Prince Mikhails brother. Betrayed by one of his kind to human vampire hunters, he‘s tortured & walled up alive in a cellar for 7yrs, until Shae, a half Carpathian doctor rescues him. Today was pretty awful, I‘ve picked up a cold over Xmas/NYE period which has been exacerbated by the smoke still in the air here so for #JumpStart2020 I‘ve been audiobooking it with the 2nd trashy novel in Feehans “Dark” series about a race of vampires in the Carpathian Mountains. After all the apocalyptic news coverage & feeling so crappy, a trashy novel is just the thing.

I bought a bag full of Christine Feehan's books at the recent booksale. This is book 2 of the Carpathian series. A better story than book one, familiar characters and a more interesting female lead. The word pliant, misspelled plaint, appears a tad too often. A mindless holiday read. Started book 3😂
