12 of the 21 #dogbooks on my 2021 reading goals list. These are #nonfiction but I do have some fiction selections as well. Looking forward to a better reading year with more time spent snuggled up with my pups, coffee, and a variety of good reads. #bookhaul
bookishbitch Lots of great choices there! 4y
DogMomIrene @bookishbitch Thanks! I had a few, but then I went overboard with the Black Friday/Cyber Monday Dogwise sale. 4y
bookishbitch Dogwise is great! I highly recommend The thinking dog by Gail Fisher if you don't already have it. 4y

DogMomIrene @bookishbitch I just added that one to my Goodreads TBR, which I consult when buying books online. It looks really good. I use a clicker when I train tricks, but I‘m pretty uncoordinated with it.🤣 4y
bookishbitch You are not alone. Clickers can take some time to learn good timing. This is the reason they have chicken training camps! Some dogs can learn a verbal marker too. (Like the word "yes" for example.) And kikopup on YouTube has some great videos. 4y
DogMomIrene @bookishbitch Yes! And that‘s my verbal marker for my two for most of our training😂 I like knowing that when we‘re out, my dogs will respond to a variety of cues, including Yes! But I see how advantageous clickers can be for precision, and for me that‘s tricks at this point. 4y
bookishbitch Tricks are awesome for keeping dogs engaged. And learning to think outside the box. Plus they are just plain fun. 😊 4y
