pickThis picture book is a tale of a little old lady trying to make pancakes. She doesn‘t have the ingredients she needs, and her animals keep getting in the way. There are no words in this book, but the pictures carry is through the story as each emotion and detail is shown beautifully on the old lady‘s face. The colors chosen create the whimsical feeling of the story.
Met @scripturient this morning. We had a nice breakfast, she convinced me to try pancakes for the first time. 😊 After that we went to a local tea shop and two book shops. Such a great morning and gorgeous chatting. 😊 Thank you.
Brunch at Charlie Parkers. Voted the the best breakfast place in the Capitol city and probably the state. Won multiple awards for their breakfast shoe and hubcap pancakes. Seen on Diners Drive in and Dives, the Today show and other. But you need to bring a book. Always. At least a 10 minute wait for a table (if not longer) and then a wait once you order. But it is sooooo worth it.
