pickThis was a nice collection of poetry and two Essays about nature, and more specifically various species of birds. I enjoyed most of them, but my favorite was “Wild Geese“
My only criticism is reading through her second essay about finding an injured gull, and instead of taking it to a wildlife facility or the vet, she and her partner started caring for it. It isn't what you fo with injured wildlife. You don't keep them as pets.
pickThese days, a gentle poem in the morning is just what I need. 🍃 Mary Oliver is just right.

pickI'm not a big poetry person but I really like Mary Oliver. Her simple reflections about nature are so beautiful. Her works always make me feel like taking a walk in the woods.
Relaxing after a long day! Drinking some sinus tea to hopefully stave off a cold my little first graders have shared.
This is for @vivastory ! We saw some beautiful rescued animals, including Florida panthers, black bears, and OWLS today at the local wildlife sanctuary. I couldn't get a photo to do them justice, but we also got to see a very cute Pygmy owl who thought he was a human because he had been raised (poorly) as a family pet. PSA: Don't feed or capture your local wildlife!
