Growing up in Louisiana, this was a #HolidayReads that was also a #HolidayTraditions. My copy was misplaced last year and I didn't think we'd get to read it, but I was cleaning out a "junk" closet in my house yesterday and found it. ??

Such a fun book to read out loud together. Everyone needs to see Santa with alligators at least once in their life.

#SeasonsReadings Day 5: Definitely a different version of #StockingStuffers, this Santa from New Orleans does things differently. There are no flying reindeers, no choirs of angels, no church steeples, no candy canes. Instead we have a hut in the middle of a swamp, gumbo simmering in the fireplace, and eight alligators flying in the night. Bought this book while I was in New Orleans in 2011.
