Kaye Lost in Shangrila. It‘s terrific. It takes place in New Guinea 🇬🇳 and doesn‘t have any war stuff or shooting. It‘s a bit like maybe Lost City of Z ? I haven‘t read that but these military people also get lost. It is really good and it comes in audio. 6y

Jack of Fables Vol. 6: The Big Book of War | Bill Willingham, Matthew Sturges

The power of stories... Fables and The Unwritten series by Mike Carey both deal with the relationship between stories and consciousness. There is some crossover with some characters as well. Entertaining and thought provoking.
