I was not expecting much from this audible original, but it was very enlightening. Looking at everyday wants and needs and seeing that it has deeper meaning. Very nice listen as well through audible. Only complaint would be it‘s based on the original from the author so this led me to believe there were changes made.
I popped this into my ears while doing my household chores. I wasn't expecting to be so inspired and entertained. 🗻
#BookNBrunch! A delicious omelet with fresh spinach, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, and Algerian spices, with seasoned, perfectly browned potatoes. And thick whole grain toast. Yum!
Morning coziness - an Algerian latte. (It‘s like a chai but with coffee instead of tea.) Yum! 😋
Discussing The Holy Man with #ThePoconoBookClub over a delicious Asian Pear Salad!
This was just barely a pick for me. The writing was beautiful, but I‘m not personally a huge fan of the vignette style writing of the book. It also got a tad preachy at times, although it was mostly lessons that didn‘t feel too syrupy. It was a super quick read, it took me about 45 minutes.
Reading this for #ThePoconoBookClub . #Coale curled up with me, a cup of the new Gratitude tea by Numi, relaxing piano music playing, snuggled under a cozy blanket. Perfect Sunday afternoon! 👌🏻
This is my favorite feel-good book among my #comfortreads. It's a story about the many people who go on a pilgrimage up a mountaintop for days, weeks and months in hopes of meeting the holy man, a monk who they say has the answer to finding happiness in life. It's less than 200 pages but packed with enough wisdom to make you smile during your own ups and downs.
