Robert Frost‘s “Mending Wall” is an obvious choice for #Wall but came to mind because we read it in one of my college English classes. During our discussion one of my classmates, a very literal woman who missed the point, kept insisting rather belligerently that the rest of us (professor included) didn‘t understand the poem. 20 years later, I can‘t forget that, and now I think of how like the man in the poem she was: (continued in comments)
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.
He will not go behind his father's saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.‘
