Some very complicated themes about love, family, and decisions in a very readable story.
#BacklistReadathon I've still got quite a lot of this author's backlist to cover and I may do it all in audio; she often narrates herself and does a great job.

I love Joshilyn Jackson‘s novels. I read this one; the audio versions are much better as her Southern telling is so enjoyable. My advice? Don‘t read her works, listen to them. Then they all become “picks.” 😊
Day 7: Between, Georgia by Joshilyn Jackson; Southern literary humor at its finest and quite good as an #audiobook as well #31Books #BooksIrecommend

This was a cute story. An easy one to cull from my library, but cute and enjoyable just the same.
I should have DNF this. But I made it to the end.
I really liked this book. Some of the characters may be a little over the top, but they are very entertaining.
Joshilyn Jackson is one of those authors who I don't think of as being a favorite, but when I look at her bibliography I realize that I have read most of her books and really enjoyed them. Her #sophomorenovel is not one that gets talked about much, but it's the only one I own, the only one I've read more than once, and it's one I really have a soft spot for. #jubilantjuly
This was such a cute book, filled with Southern family drama. It was a great audio for an impromptu road trip over the weekend! I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!
#sunnybook #17rainbowbooks It is supposed to be another rainy weekend here but it is all sunshine and butterflies on this cover.
My girls - Rory Gilmore and Blanche Devereaux are #dreamingofawarmerclimate tonight. Although I bet Georgia has more snow than we do in Nebraska right now! #readjanuary #dogsoflitsy @RealLifeReading
This was a very heart warming story about family. It centers on a young lady still trying to figure out what she wants from her life and the family that pulls her in a few different directions. I enjoyed the plot of this book but I think some of it was a bit cliché. It started as a drama, tried to be a comedy then turned into a love story. It was believable to a point and had some twists that I didn't see coming.
I loved this audiobook. As always, Joshilyn Jackson breathes life into her crazy, lovable, damaged characters better than anyone else ever could. He performance of Bernise especially had me laughing out loud. No one writes the South better. I'm so glad I finally picked this one up. It was just what I needed.
I wrote about Joshilyn Jackson's author/narrator superpowers on my blog this week. I then couldn't resist picking up another of her audiobooks immediately. I ❤️her, her writing, and her characters.
Years ago I worked in the children's section of a public library. I remember recommending this book to a young reader. A few weeks later he came back and told me how much he loved this book. Me too.
