Finally finished listening to this one. I love the Artemis fowl books and this one is no exception to that!

Audio books mean I can craft and read at the same time!
This was probably the weakest Artemis book yet. A typical amnesia plot, learning again the things already learned, an old enemy coming back for revenge. Still, the writing is top-notch, the humor witty, and the action flies as fast as a hi-tech fairy shuttle.
Also—not many children‘s books where people (non-graphically) die. Makes the stakes real.
3.75/5
Artemis bands together with the faeries to fight against Opal, a pixie, bent on the destruction of the secret hidden faerie underground.
Been bad at the upkeep, so rapid fire:
DOCTOR SLEEP was SO GOOD!
FUNNY, YOU DON'T LOOK AUTISTIC is funny and sweet.
TWICE MAGIC was a great follow up to WIZARDS OF ONCE; KNOCK THREE TIMES didn't have quite the same charm. But one more book to come and I love David Tennant's voice...
HOW TO TWIST A DRAGON'S TALE: started to get bored, but humor keeps me coming back.
THE OPAL DECEPTION is a resounding PICK! I love the end and Artemis's growth (👇)
A formulaic stabilization of the Artemis Fowl series. For the full review, please visit http://benjamin-m-weilert.com/index.php/2020/03/18/book-the-opal-deception-2005/
So many years ago, I think I read only the first in the series. Man, am I ever enjoying reading more of the series now! I think Eoin Colfer gives YA fantasy a good name!
I am almost done with Book4 in the Artemis Fowl series & here's how I'll rank them so far, starting from the best:-
BOOK1>>BOOK4>>BOOK2>> BOOK3
I am planning on reading the rest in one go, like binge watching an entire series, I love science fiction for the fact that it is filled with endless possibilities, and it is a great joy to navigate such a world!
If you could, please suggest some interesting science fiction books that you have read!!!

Another one down! I think I might like this one best so far. Artemis is growing up and, as a main character, showing real development - less focused on the plan, more complex. And for Opal, it‘s a bit of be careful what you wish for in the end. #FowlADay
So it‘s not so much #FowlADay as it is #FowlAMonth but I am determined to read them all. I don‘t recall this book at all so I‘m not sure if I‘ve read it. Something just happened that I‘m sure I would have remembered!!!
"Half of me wants to be a criminal, and the other half wants to be a normal teenager. I feel like I have two conflicting personalities and a head full of memories that aren't really mine yet. It's a strange feeling, not to know who you are exactly."
