Kari James books are perfect classic fairy tale story's that intrigue children to learn what happens next. This book is also a quick read for a short and sweet retelling of the princess and the pea.
pickThis is a cute story of a young girl who proves her royalty by sensing a pea beneath layers of mattresses. Another classic, charming story that has themes of showing true identity. Children will love hearing this timeless story of the princesses many sleepless nights.
This would be great to talk to kids about when going over that actions, even tiny, can have consequences and could put a large impact on something. Good and bad.

This is one of the first fairytales I remember hearing a kid. This story helped spark my love of princess stories and that‘s what got me so into Disney today. I would like to share this story with my future students to hopefully spark that same feeling for them.
“there was something not quite right about them all” talking about princesses the prince had seen before. I forgot to take a picture but it was a princess playing guitar with her mouth wide open that was funny
This would be good for younger kids who have never heard the story becuase it is the classic version and not a varient so they won‘t get bored

My favorite childhood Fairytale: The Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Anderson and Illustrated by Jana Christy. This fantasy fairytale TL is a story about a prince trying to find his true princess by seeing if she felt a pea through 20 mattresses! It‘s a fun story for a RA. I would utilize ESL strategy #1 and UDL 8.3 you can cross concept this story with math too. Linked is a lesson plan that has awesome suggestions.
Trying to finish this Princess and the Pea photo for my daughter this evening! Litsy crops it so that you can't see the castle on the hill in the right corner. She insisted on wearing this paper crown someone gave her from a restaurant 😉
