Everything All at Once
Everything All at Once: How Nerds Solve Problems | Bill Nye
14 posts | 6 read | 12 to read
Bill Nye has been the public face of science for more than 20 years. In Everything All At Once, the New York Times bestselling author issues a call to arms meant to rouse everyone to become the change they want to see in the world. Whether addressing global warming, social change, or personal success, there are certain strategies that always get results: looking at the world with radical curiosity, being driven by a desire for a better future, and being willing to take the actions needed to make change a reality. With his signature humor and storytelling, Bill shares how he has developed specific techniques for what he calls the "everything all at once" lifestyle, from his childhood scouting adventures and his career at aerospace companies to the development of his famous Science Guy television show. This approach requires the nerd mindset: a way of thinking that leaves no stone unturned. It's about learning to solve problems through exploration, trial and error, and sheer creativity. Problem solving is a skill that anyone can harness to create change, and Bill Nye is here to show us how to sort out problems, recognize solutions, and join him in changing the world.

I'm joining @Andrew65 in #12Booksof2021, sharing one book every day that was our favorite read from a select month. March was a tough call because I read so many Ascender issues that month, but Bill Nye managed to pull ahead. I enjoyed his perspective in this book, and LOVED learning more about the process behind his show in one or two chapters as well. #Nonfiction #Science #BillNye

Andrew65 Sounds a good read. 3y

Bill explores many topics, from climate change and the incredible design that went into the Mars rover's landing equipment to his start as an educational entertainer and changing one's mind about topics (like GMOs) when new evidence is presented. I thoroughly enjoyed this book both as a nerd and as a fan of Bill's work.

Soooo we adopted a new fur baby and she is the absolute sweetest thing 😻.

But I have a question for you all. Have you ever got done with a series that just drained you emotionally and it was hard to start another book I tip you‘ve had time to....cope?

I finished reading the Throne of Glass series almost 2 months ago and I‘m finding it hard to pick up a new book now. 😂😂 That series wrecked me 🤣🤣

Another interesting read. Felt like more of a group of life lesson essays, but I like the idea that everyone has something new to teach you.

The boyfriend and I are celebrating two years with each other in the best way we know how; at the science museum. As part of my gift, he gave me full range to the gift shop 😂 instantly darted towards the books. Ultimately got nothing but added a few to my “ further review” list. 😆

This is a collection of essays. The jumping around is a bit weird, but they‘re still very interesting.

If you get through this without learning something, then you're an idiot.
