We picked this for my church book club because 1)it‘s shorter than Becoming 2) we are trying to find books every generation can like. This memoir was good on audio because Jenna & Barbara narrate. Not political, so even if you didn‘t like the policies of either Bush, you can still enjoy the personal stories.

This was an interesting view from the inside of the fish bowl of their friendship, their family and their lives.

I surprised myself when I chose this as my latest audiobook. I was even more surprised at how much I liked it.

Jenna and Barbara alternate chapters and, while the transitions sometimes feel abrupt and disjointed, the stories are as entertaining as they are interesting.

I particularly liked hearing about 9-11 from Barbara's point of view and both of them talking about their Secret Service detail (my brother is an agent).

A good listen.

I loved so much about this book. Jenna and Barbara took turns writing chapters throughout the book, and while most of the book was sweet, they did not shy away from talking about some less-than-flattering moments and tough topics.

It‘s not often you get to hear from this side of a politics family. I really enjoyed this. Their love for each other and their family is so apparent.

I was so very pleasantly surprised by Jenna and Barbara‘s book, Sisters First.

They retold some very funny and also insightful childhood stories. I found myself laughing out loud at some of their memories.

And then, of course, crying over their losses. You may not agree with their family‘s political views 100%, but do you know the full story?

Very well done, and I highly recommend this memoir.

How is it July already? My July tbr will be more of my own books, but I do know that a library hold will be in soon too.

Reading this one to prep for an interview for my magazine with Jenna Bush Hager. It‘s interesting to learn more about the lives of the “First twins”.

I listened to the audiobook and really liked these ladies. They really seem to feel blessed by their family relationships.

Short memories of the Bush Twins through the years. Overall glad I listened to it.

Easy read although I would've preferred a bit more cohesion. It jumped back and forth so much in terms of topics and time periods.

Enjoying this light read

Yes they grew up more privileged than most but they really are remarkable women. "We were expected to be good people, to care about others, and be responsible." Imagine if everyone lived by these expectations. ?

This breezy & insightful little memoir was a delight!
It offered a refreshing &enjoyable look into their shared & separate experiences in everything fr being followed by the secret service since childhood to what it's like moving & living in the 🏛 & even dating when your dad's the president!
Yet through it all, their strong sisterly bond & tight knit family ties have continued to serve as their steady anchor. 👭

Had to put a pause on my listening of "The Force" yesterday because I got notified that my hold for the tagged #Audiobook was ready and downloaded. ?

I find Presidential children sort of fascinating & look forward to listening them tell stories & sharing their experiences in their own voices.

Plus it's a very short listen (just over 6 hrs), I started it yesterday and have just under 1 more hr to go!?

Thinking of mildly backseat participating in the #24in48 readathon this weekend so I picked up a stack at the library.

I appreciate how they didn‘t shy away from the awkward and uncomfortable moments.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My last book of 2017! Cute, entertaining, and sometimes sad stories from their life (so far).

This was really engrossing!

I did not expect this book to be as good as it was! I even cried a few times. Like, real tears! Dog eared a few pages, wrote some quotes down and have already passed it along for others to read! SO GOOD!!

So excited to meet Jenna and Barbara today. ❤️ I can't wait to read their book about growing up in the White House.
