started this one today! starts off spooky and mysterious, introducing the Mystery Club, who are investigating the most recent *and super sudden* tragic event of the town! 🔍👀
First chapter is written in a way that makes you say “oooo what‘s next, what else will they find?!”

Panpan

I loved Thrash's graphic memoir so I was shocked at how bad this book was. Sexism and racism that aren't dealt with/questioned (including casual use of trans* and Jewish slurs--it did not feel great considering headlines right now), horrible treatment of POC characters, the main characters don't grow at all, and the plot is just really unbelievable. WOOF.

theshrinkette Oof. Thanks for the heads up. 7y
skrishna I should add that there's not even want trans rep in this novel -- WHY would you use that word, WHYYYYY 7y
skrishna Any = want, whoops autocorrect 7y

Pickpick

"There was virtually nothing to complain about in 'We Know It Was You.' The writing was gripping from start to finish, and Thrash‘s dark sense of humor was present throughout the story, making the novel stand out to me personally."

I get skeptical when a blurb calls a book "hilarious" because it's almost never true but this one has made me smile so far.
