This was an excellent book, 3rd in the series, I‘m which Mr Glass and Ms Steele (in a simmering forbidden (and unconsummated) relationship) investigate a murder. In doing so, they dig more deeply in the equally simmering underground world of magic. Is someone killing magicians, or is someone wanting to out them? The mystery deepens. Addictive. #serieslove2023

pickThis one had more action than the last 2 and we finally made some headway in the back stories. This is my favorite so far. It ended on a cliffhanger and I immediately started the next one. so-soThis suffered a bit of the "middle of the series" syndrome. Although the plot was interesting, it felt like it's main purpose was to explore the chemistry between Matt and India.
