AWESOME! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good adventure. This book has consumed soo much of my time, but I must say... it was worth it! 😄

These quotes are so true! All the credit goes to Katherine Rundell. 😊
Quite a long quote so decided to take a picture. These kids are trapped in a forest and the amount of hope they have just makes me smile. 😊
The birds here make the birds in England look like there dresses for a job interview.
After I read this line I started thinking about pigeons dressed in suits going for a job interview and then I couldn't stop laughing! 🤣
Started reading this book yesterday and so far its pretty good. It has a perfect sizzling start that hooks my attention to the book and doesn't make me stop and put the book back. 😄
A delicious and satisfying young adult read that was recommended by my teenage daughter. Set in the Amazon- a tale of friendship and survival...a modern day version of Lord of the Flies. Easy to read and hard to put down.
It is with a heavy heart that Bella and I are bailing on this (I hate giving up!) I adored Wolf Wilder and Rooftoppers so was excited to try Bella with this one for slightly younger readers, but we just weren‘t feeling it. I can‘t get past the fact there‘s no explanation as to why these tiny children are in a plane alone over a rainforest! And when you‘re 7 and there are ALL the books to read, sometimes it‘s time to move on...
A plane crash, four kids stranded in the Amazon, & one heck of an awesome adventure as the try to find their way out of the jungle—think Hatchet except for a MG crowd. Young readers are sure to love this—there are strange bugs & berries, weird noises & wide rivers & even signs someone else might have been there before them. If some things happen a little to conveniently, it doesn‘t detract from this tale of survival and exploration. A fun read.
Today‘s book mail features another MG preview read for the library. The reviews for this book are mixed but Patrick Ness speaks highly of it. Found a copy marked way down and thought I‘d give it a go, read it for myself.
Very impressed with the content of this book. Very moving how the explorer helped the 4 kids! Definitely would recommend
Brilliant read, great fun and tight plotting with lots of twists and turns. I didn‘t fall in love with this as hard or as fast as The Wolf Wilder but the setting is beautifully realised on the page and the characters are well rounded.
Oh my gosh, how do you super pick a book? I needed to hug this book for a bit when I finished! It‘s so many things all in one kids‘ adventure book - exciting, scary, moving, funny, wise... I just loved it. The four kids are so easy to root for and the explorer himself is a cool dude and one of the girls gets a pet sloth - what‘s not to like? This is a really really great story!!
At home instead of work today as my eldest recovers from a sicky big, so we‘re reading, doing laundry and watching Scooby Doo. Feel like I should say we‘re reading this book together as it‘s a kids‘ book, but we‘re not!! Looking forward to an Amazonian adventure!
A plane crash has always been one of my worst fears. This story was so good! Plus I learned a few survival tips, if ever.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
Meh. I really really wanted to like this more but it is definitely not a favorite. While the prose about the GREEN rainforest is lovely. I might have enjoyed it more if it was about half as long and not every object was described in technicolor detail and given human qualities. Did I mention that everything is green... VERY green?
It's the Amazon versus 4 kids stranded in a plane crash. Most of the time I was rooting for the Amazon. #TeamAmazon.
Four children survive a plane crash in a remote jungle in the Amazon. Now they learn to survive and find a way to be rescued as they navigate through the treacherous terrain while exploring undiscovered sites. Hatchet meets Lord of the Flies in this middle reader book.
