⭐⭐⭐⭐Rose is safe in the knowledge that her ex partner is in jail after killing her younger brother Billy. One day whilst looking after her beloved neighbour who has fallen I'll she finds Billy's blanket hidden in a room she wasn't meant to go into. Rose starts questioning everything she thought she knew and everyone she thought she knew. I am a fan of K L Slater's books and the unexpected rides they take us on.
Thought this was brilliant really like Slater's writing, it's my second book by her and will definitely be reading more 😊
#MountTBR (book 25) #Murder2020 (book 56)
Literally too hot to be stuck in a classroom today 🥵 Even with half the number of bodies! Year 2 and possibly year 5 coming back next week aswell 😲
Enjoying the sunshine and starting a new book now I've finished the Rosie Project 🙂
A lonely, depressed and fearful woman remembers her past and the attack on her best friend and murder of her brother. A man may be wrongly accused but that makes him no less a monster. The story of her own redemption, getting back her life, is great. Really enjoyed this murder mystery with all its twists and turns. #scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick
Gonna read this next by K.L. Slater. Picked it up in The Works for £2.
Could not finish this. The chapters were too drawn out.
Not how I thought that would end but was still a good book.

That feeling when you open a new book for the first time. (Or in my case open it on the kindle) NEXT READ ..... 📚🎉
No spoilers, plz but any thoughts on this one? I am giving it a second chance but having a hard time reading about Rose‘s relationship.
Good at first then dragged to a disappointing finish. Her other novel, Liar, was better, in my opinion.
Today‘s book mail. And Tink enjoying the detritus. Trying to stay positive on my brother‘s birthday. I always called him my “much older brother” but now I realize that just gives me years to miss him.
...those were supposed to be on the same page. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA I hate mistakes. 😂 #bujo
The writing is excellent as always and manages to draw you right in; the plot is well developed and has quite a few twists and turns that will surprise you. The flashbacks to the past don‘t distract and instead add to the overall richness of the plot; the grooming is realistically described. The only problem I had was with the main characters: I never managed to warm up to them and felt frustrated especially with Rose.
4/5 stars.
THE MISTAKE is an emotional and haunting tale of how just one person can negatively alter your life forever.
