I wanted to love this, as the illustrations are adorable and I mean, I‘m going to school to become a librarian. But the rhyming is just off, and the children‘s librarian shushes the character, and all the books she reads are good, but non-diverse. This just could have been so much better.
I loved this little children‘s book. Wonderful story and really great illustrations.
I‘ve been reading this book at the local elementary school all week. It‘s the illustrated version of a song you won‘t be able to unhear once you have it stuck in your head: https://youtu.be/qjyg-6Sd91A
It‘s cute, but not my favorite, and the illustrations of copyrighted characters like The Cat in the Hat and Curious George are so changed as to be unrecognizable to the kids. Worth a read, but not my favorite #kidlit about #libraries
At our public library, less than 10 minutes from our new home! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Then, among the messiness, we have the top priorities - the library books and a few ARCs. The ARCs on the second shelf that are stacked are to take to work to share with coworkers. The ARCs on top shelf are Jodi Picoult, Hank Green, and Holly Black's newest, and I must make time for them!
Holy library haul!!! Of course everything I requested comes in at once. I guess it looks like I have lots of reading to do! 😱🤓😜📚📖
Super cute book about the joy of going to the library and the adventures one can find there. And beautiful illustrations! 4/5 #picturebook #Aprilread #childrensbook
It's written like a song, with a sort of chorus, and I couldn't really get a feel of the rhythm so this read really harsh to me. I do like that it's about a library and books though ?
Apparently, it's "Library Song" by Tom Chapin off his album Moonboat. I'll have to Google to hear this.
Another pic for my characters reading collection! 😀
