?this cover. An 18 year old artist, Sky can't wait to be in college, away from the little town she's grown up in. Josh is 19, just back from Afghanistan, where he lost a leg. They seem an unlikely pair but...
"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there."
Loved the characters in this book. Ms. Demetrios makes you feel like you‘re part of the story. I was in Creek Valley in the middle of Cali watching everything unfold, in the Paradise Motel Lobby. Now I feel like collagjng. Lol 4⭐️
I meant to just read a few chapters to have a talking point with my students, but I got sucked in to these characters and can‘t put it down! Love them!
✨I‘ve heard so many good things about #illmeetyouthere by #heatherdemetrios and I can‘t wait to read it. It‘s on my immediate tbr to get to in the next month or two. I‘ve read Exquisite Captive by this author and I LOVED it so I need to buy the rest in that series to read also! Right now I‘m currently reading Reign of the Fallen and it‘s good so far. What is everyone else reading at the moment?✨
@WanderingBookaneer @Figgy and I got new tattoos yesterday! 😍

I don't usually care for Contemporary YA or Romance but this book just rocked my world.
Adored it. It was funny, creative, vivid and so so beautiful. I fell in love with the characters almost immediately and I've never felt so connected to a protagonist as I did with Skylar - despite the fact I've never been inside a trailer, and I've only been to a motel twice in my life.
I fell in love with this book and I 100% recommend it to everyone. It's a romance, but its also a coming of age tale and a story of grief, recovery and family.
I rarely see poverty, substance use disorder, & small towns rep'ed in books & typically, it's crappy rep. This book handles those topics well.
This book follows Skye as she tries to escape her small town, her heart heavy at the idea of leaving her mother behind to deal with her addiction & poverty. Skye also feels her connection to the town grow stronger as she begins to fall for a returned soilder with an amputated leg & PTSD.

Randomly doing a #somethingforsept prompt. (I keep meaning to join in on this, but life has been hectic 😳). #bookishrainbow
I've never read anything that has brought out so many emotions, for instance, I've NEVER cried while reading a book, that is until now, I was bawling my eyes out at some parts, felt so much love and happiness in others, and I was always, with every chapter, falling in love with this beautiful story.
I've read around 50 pages so far and I'm already pretty emotional. I'll Meet You There is looking to be a real contender for the first book to ever make me bawl my eyes out.
This is a book I'll be digesting for a long time...It made me think of so many people. Such an amazing book.
