I‘ll rate this one a 4/5. Lots of good moments coupled with some missed opportunities. The best part was the chapter early in the book that detailed Marian & Conrad‘s summer fling… WOW 🔥

Marian is a thirty-something successful woman, who opens her door to an unexpected surprise : a daughter.
When she was a teenager herself, Marian made the decision to give her baby up for adoption, now years later, her birth daughter has made the decision to find her mother.
I appreciated hearing the different viewpoints in this story, but overall it was honestly just an easy listen. Not very deep, but still a sweet story with a happy ending.
I really liked this. Quick, easy, uplifting read about the choices we make in life. I wanted more at the end but also like how it left the ending where you could create your own story.
This was a really interesting story about a girl who seeks out her biological mother after being adopted. It shows both views of the situation including the outside people it touched like the grandparents, adoptive parents and the biological father. This book had a little bit of grit to it. It didn‘t have the perfect ending which made it very real.
Two of my favorite cousins are adopted so I feel I have a better appreciation for women who can give their children up. This book made me feel raw and open, but it‘s so good. It was a fast read and it made my heart both ache and smile. Definite pick!!
I wish I remembered the date I joined Litsy. It‘s getting close to a year ago, this much I know! Either way, years ago I read Where We Belong by Emily Giffin and loved it. #throwbackthursday
As you can see I'm on page 109 and I just can't get into this book. She introduced the plot way too early and it just keeps lingering. Sorry But I would have to give this a pan in my opinion 🙁
I am currently reading this, so far don't know how to feel about this book, it seems interesting

Where we belong is often where we least expect to find ourselves—a place that we may have willed ourselves to forget, but that the heart remembers forever.
