The Neighborhood

My neighborhood is a transition from suburbia into a rural area of NE Ohio. I really like where I live. It feels rural, but I am only a few minutes from everything the city has to offer. With all of the rain we have had, everything is particularly green and lush this year. #litsyneighborhood @MrBook

#Litsyneighborhood I took this picture on a walk around our community earlier this week. This is about two blocks from our house. I love royal poinciana trees, but I‘d never plant one in our yard. I just enjoy them in other people‘s yards, especially when they‘re blooming.

But the roots are really shallow and cause lots of damage to sidewalks and foundations, plus the trees topple in hurricanes. I‘d rather admire them in someone else‘s property. 😄 5y

I went into the library last week not intending to check anything out, but found this. Twists on fairy tales, feminist AF, published by a small press. It basically flew off the shelf and hit me in the face. And it was great! My favorite was a fresh take on the wicked stepmother trope. #weirdatlast
