Based on reviews, most people either love or hate this book. I fall in the middle. It kept me interested enough to keep reading despite not liking any of the characters (Ok, there were two likeable-ish characters) and feeling that the story was very disjointed and many of the characters' actions were inexplicable. I was surprised by the ending and infuriated by the epilogue. This falls between so-so & pan; I won't be reading more in this series.
Not my cup of tea. Mystery/Thrillers usually aren't, but this was neither thrilling or mysterious in my opinion. No likeable characters and not a very intriguing plot.
I do like that my dog photo-bombed the picture, though 🐶
We spent our first night in our new home and this is the view I woke up to. So grateful. So busy. Can't wait to move all our stuff this weekend and really settle in. Also - I have big plans for a library in the front room 😀
PS - the tagged book is okay so far, but only okay
Ahh thank you so much @LazyDays for the #kindlitsy gift! It was so thoughtful of you and such a surprise for me! I LOVE old Lois Duncan books like I Know What You Did Last Summer so I'm pumped to read a more modern book that gives the same vibe!!
Thank you SO MUCH and so sorry that my email buried your lovely gift in the abyss - thanks for alerting me so I could dig it out in time (Amazon app didn't tell me either)! Eek! THANK YOU AGAIN! ❤️❤️❤️

It took me approximately 20 minutes to know I‘d hate this book. The pacing was so incredibly off that I wondered if I had missed some 100 pages somewhere, but I think the book is just poorly written and edited. The story, the characters, the ridiculous French connection (why include that when you obviously don‘t know French?!) — it was all just an unbelievable mess.
Where to even begin with this book?!
Although the suspense was intense in this book there were parts that confused the reader. This Tory is told in multiple POV‘s but a lot of it felt like filler. This story was dragged out and way too long. And screw that‘s ending! I‘m seriously suppose to believe that garbage?!
