Happy International Women's Day!
A kids book about 25 inspiring females throughout history. I love reading these types of books. The artwork is stunning & I learnt about some amazing women. Some of which I knew about, but others I'd never heard of.

#AnglophileApril Day 1: This one has #CloseToMe vibes as it provides a brief and highly contemporary Q and A which presents real-life scenarios to young readers that they are most likely facing, with the question: What Might Murasaki Shikibu Do? I personally find this to be a highly effective format, as it brings these larger-than-life woman personalities closer to young readers. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-jcW
This is a great middle grade intro to important women in history. Most of the choices are obvious or at least have been more common in books like this lately, but it is still a fun read for adults and perfect for beginners. The illustrations are beautiful. I thought it was really interesting that they looked at the problems modern kids might have and addressed them by looking at what these important and powerful women might have thought.
Wonderful book about strong women throughout world history. With encouraging answers to the question 'What would she do?'
A middle-school book everyone, not only girls, can profit from - although some information should be taken with a grain of salt, not all tips work in everyday situations.
Picture shows Catherine the Great and what she would do if she were bullied in the WhatsApp class chat.
