Saw this gorgeous cover as I was working on reorganizing the middle grade shelves at work. When a young girl travels to Mexico, she meets siblings who ask for her help in solving a mystery. Sounds fantastic! And so my TBR pile grows a little bigger...
pickPaloma is in Mexico with her mother for the summer and befriends siblings Gael and Lizzie who are keeping one too many secrets. Together the three friends must solve a mystery to save an innocent man framed for a theft he didn't commit!
An excellent middle grade novel surrounding the mystery of a missing ring that belonged to legendary artist Frida Kahlo.
pickPaloma and her mother are visiting Mexico City for the summer, and nearby is the home (now museum) of Frida Kahlo. When an important piece of art goes missing, Paloma finds herself drawn into a mystery with her new friends.
This fun middle grade mystery is light and entertaining. It‘s wrapped up a bit too neatly in the end, but I can be okay with that.
