I Still Dream About You
I Still Dream About You: A Novel | Fannie Flagg
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER The beloved Fannie Flagg is at her irresistible and hilarious best in I Still Dream About You, a comic mystery romp through the streets of Birmingham, Alabama, past, present, and future. Meet Maggie Fortenberry, a still beautiful former Miss Alabama. To others, Maggies life seems practically perfectshes lovely, charming, and a successful agent at Red Mountain Realty. Still, Maggie cant help but wonder how she wound up living a life so different from the one she dreamed of as a child. But just when things seem completely hopeless, and the secrets of Maggies past drive her to a radical plan to solve it all, Maggie discovers, quite by accident, that everybody, it seems, has at least one little secret. I Still Dream About You is a wonderful novel that is equal parts southern charm, murder mystery, and that perfect combination of comedy and old-fashioned wisdom that can be served up only by Americas own remarkable Fannie Flagg. Making cinnamon sugar pretzels for my nephew's birthday BBQ tomorrow. I may have to sneak myself a couple before I pack them up. I'm not the biggest fan of audio books but thought I'd give this one a whirl and it's not half bad.

Moony The brezels look wonderful! How did you make it? 6y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Yum!!!! Yes! What‘s the recipe?! 6y
mrp27 @Moony @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Lol, recipe as follows: 6y

mrp27 So goods and super easy, always a crowd pleaser. Recipe from Pinterest. 6y
BookNAround I make this same recipe and it‘s so good. I can only make them for a party because I‘d make a ridiculous pig of myself otherwise. 6y
Moony Wow cool! Thx :) 6y

This is by the author of Fried Green Tomatoes, which is one of my favorite movies, and one of the rare occasions where I think the movie is better than the book. This story was funny and cute, but had a VERY dated feel even though it's only 11y/o and was not PC towards little people. I did laugh a few times, but, sadly, this was just barely a pick for me. #Towanda

This was a very good book! Dramatic, comical, mysterious, and so engaging. It started off in such an odd way that I just had to keep reading. I would definitely recommend!

Yet another good Fannie Flagg book. I've found a new auto buy author. This story was far different from her other two books I read but still hilarious and full of strong women. I really think her writing would appeal to all different types of reads espicaly us Southern women.

Am I the only Litten who listens to some audiobooks in her car on CDs. Hope not! 🤓 Oh this book! I laughed out loud at stoplights and dabbed my tears in traffic. Hilarious and heartwarming story about a former Miss Alabama who wonders whether her hopeless life is really worth living. The diverse characters are a hoot plus Fannie always adds in a mysterious secret to solve. So good it #shouldhavebeenamovie #seasonsreadings2016 @RealLifeReading

CoffeeAndABook Yep!! I really enjoyed this one, too. It was CLOSE ENOUGH😉 🙌 8y
MemoirsForMe @CoffeeAndABook Right? Fannie's characters and all the little details about them crack me up every time. 😁 Have you read her new one yet? I can't wait. 8y
CoffeeAndABook @UwannaPublishme No I haven't read that one yet!! But I want to 😉👏🎈 8y

Fannie Flagg spoke at the Lyric Theatre tonight. What a fun night. My mother really liked Fanny as a writer. This was the last book my mom read before she passed away. Fanny was kind enough to sign the book to her. ❤️📚❤️ #IStillDreamAboutYou

DebinHawaii That's a wonderful memento to have and treasure. Hugs❤️ 8y

Just wanted to give a shout out to another #getindie bookstore in Escondido, California. Meet Gail at The Book Mark, a paperback book exchange store that's been around since 1975. I've put a lot of creases in many paperbacks over there. Gail is the owner's daughter in law and she loved hearing all about us Littens. She's not on Litsy yet, but she will be! Plus, I found this audiobook by Fannie Flagg there that I just HAD to have. 🤓📚

I finished Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell yesterday : (
and happened to be visiting with my parents. My mom handed me I Still Dream About You and as I really liked Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistlestop Café I decided to give it a try. So far it's a quirky warm read ?
