I loved the town and it's pecualiar characters. Owl was my favorite character, his comments made me laugh. This was really fun & easy, very cozy book.

3.9⭐️ for this super cute paranormal cozy mystery. I will be completely honest, I went in knowing a few of the details, because I accidentally started the spin off series. So it ruins a little bit of a love triangle that‘s slightly present. However, I thoroughly enjoy the book and plan to continue the series. This is also my #BooksSpin for #BookSpinBingo.
So I started reading my #BookSpin book ‘Crazy For Brew‘ and I started feeling like I was missing something. I picked this book up on a whim during the stuff, my Kindle day, and it said it was book one of the series; however, turns out it‘s book one of the spinoff series. For this reason, and this reason alone, I am switching books to prevent confusion and spoilers. I don‘t know if it still counts for #BookSpinBingo but feel it‘s for the best.
Trying to unwind from a crappy weekend. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good start to a new week.
What is everyone up to tonight?
First read of the month was this paranormal cozy mystery. It wasn't a new favorite but it was alright. I do see room for potential as the storyline develops more and the characters are more fleshed out. I'm hoping that's the case because I find the premise and cast of characters interesting. I will at least read the next one and see.

This felt more like a set up for the world than a fully realized cozy mystery. The mystery is easily solved with few suspects and even the romance subplot is thin. I do think there is a lot of potential here so hopefully, the mysteries will improve and the characters will become more complex than "fun fairy," "insecure centaur cop," "sad fallen angel," and "newbie witch." Of course, even if they don't, I'll probably still read the next one. ?
A light fluffy read, somewhere between so-so and a pick.

I can‘t remember who mentioned this series but Hoopla had it, so I checked out the first book. A young woman, Emma Hart, learns she‘s a witch when she visits the town of Spellbound, whose magical residents can‘t leave the town, and she is unable to leave. She settles in and solves mysteries while learning how to be a witch. Really fun series. I‘m listening to the 2nd one now.
