This book is beautiful and may be my favorite of the year so far. It‘s a fantasy novel that reads like literary fiction. Very well written. Highly recommend.
I have no words. This book is not something I would have picked up on my own. At it's core, it's a love story. However, it is so much more than that. One rainy night, Evelyn pulls what she believes to be a man out of the earth. From that point on, it just gets more strange. While reading, I wasn't loving it. After finishing, I wanted to cry, laugh and throw the book across the room. This is one that will stick with me.
Has anyone else read this book??? It's so weird. I'm 30% in and I don't know if I want to continue. I'm intrigued, but not a whole lot. A friend of mine recommended it. I didn't even know she was a reader, but she lost her mind about how good this was. I'm thinking we probably have different taste in books because I'm just stumped over this.
The case for my new kindle came in!! It's so purty. It matches the oversized poster I have of "Starry Night". I'm not big into art, but I have always loved this one.
Listened to the audio. Not sure I would've finished if I had read it but decent as an audio.
