RyeAnnUh @Skyrimir this is called Hairpin Lace. I'm making and infinity scarf with it. I've never knitted but this is super simple to pick up. 5y

I didn‘t participate in the 24 in 48 this weekend. I didn‘t even really read this weekend! I was finishing up my first CAL! I love these colors. I know I am missing the opportunity of listening to audio books while I do this. Every time I have tried my brain wanders away and I miss whole sections of a book 😩 anyone else have this problem? Any tips?? Anyway back to my regular reading schedule!

BookishMarginalia Lovely! Audiobooks take practice. I‘m highly visual, so it took me lots of time to get to the point where I can do anything other than color while listening to a book and still have good comprehension. 5y

IndoorDame I change the reader‘s speed every time I start a new audiobook. I find sometimes I tune out if their voice is too slow or soothing, and sometimes I can‘t process what they‘re saying if it‘s set too fast. 5y

MeganAnn I have a tendency to tune out audiobooks as well. I do this all the time listening to music at work so I think I‘ve just become accustomed to tuning things out as I work on other things?! The only time I‘ve found I can listen to audiobooks is in the car on long trips.... when my husband is driving. If I‘m driving, I start to tune it out again 🤷‍♀️ 5y
