A very charming children‘s classic... as long as you ignore the racist commentary. The book is from 1911 so I wasn‘t terribly offended but... 🤷‍♀️

There were a few nice anecdotes, but this book hardly qualifies as a novel... Most of it could have been covered in a blogpost 🤷‍♀️

Quick one day read. Nice writing but the storyline was not too fresh 🤷‍♀️

A wonderful and endearing read... I laughed, cried, and enjoyed myself! ~600 pages didn't feel long at all.

I was very excited for this book due to the theme of trees! But it had many storylines and not all of them were good. I can see why it has mixed reviews 🤷‍♀️
