Rule of Three
Rule of Three | Eric Walters
15 posts | 22 read | 10 to read
One shocking afternoon, computers around the globe shut down in a viral catastrophe. At sixteen-year-old Adam Daley's high school, the problem first seems to be a typical electrical outage, until students discover that cell phones are down, municipal utilities are failing, and a few computer-free cars like Adam's are the only vehicles that function. Driving home, Adam encounters a storm tide of anger and fear as the region becomes paralyzed. Soon as resources dwindle, crises mount, and chaos descends he will see his suburban neighborhood band together for protection. And Adam will understand that having a police captain for a mother and a retired government spy living next door are not just the facts of his life but the keys to his survival, in "The Rule of Three "by Eric Walters."

So Good! I love the series overall. Reminds me of an action movie, but isn't so violent that it's hard to read. Definitely not a hard read but is a good read no matter how deep or complicated you like your books

After further reading this book and finishing it, I have more to say about it. This book is about making as many friends/allies as you can and work together to ensure each others survival. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer to survive in this new and harsh world. This book was really good, and I'm even considering reading the other books that continue the story. If you enjoy books with giant battles and overcoming overwhelming forces.

Ethan Turner This book is told in first person point of view because it uses pronouns like he, I, we etc. 4y
MissYaremcio Well done Ethan! ALWAYS READ MORE IF YOU WANT TO! 6/6 4y

This book is about the rule of three for survival, water, food and air. After a catastrophic event that wiped out all electricity world wide, its every man for themselves where every choice could be your last. This book really captured me and I love books with intense moments and surviving the unthinkable. One of the themes in this book is trusting everyone around and working together for each others survival.

MissYaremcio Thank you for the review Ethan! I was looking for a bit more on the explanation of the theme, but well done! 5.5/6 4y

What would you do to protect yourself? To survive? How do you determine who is important enough to save? Who would you risk your life for? Should the world end, as we know it, do you have the skills to survive? Do you adapt to change? Oh boy is my brain just a churning with questions while reading this....

I couldn't resist! Book Outlet made me do it! 🤣🤣🤣 Let's face it, I have no will power at all when it comes to books. In my defense, The Shadows of Magic series is for my grandson. I will put it up for Christmas. 🎁🎄

wanderinglynn That happens to me too! I also blame Book Outlet! 😂 5y
Centique I love love love Shades of Magic and Murderbot! 😍😍 Hope you love Murderbot if you haven‘t read that yet 🤞 5y

A Well-crafted Global-blackout Thriller

Adam is 16. He‘s a good student. He‘s building an ultralight with his dad in the garage. He likes a girl he‘s too nervous to talk to. And then every computer in the world goes dark. Permanently.
