I must have read this as a kid, as I‘ve had this copy since the early ‘90s, but didn‘t remember it. A great little tale of an independent girl who sets out on an adventure and ends up overthrowing evil and saving everyone! #doublespin for December done.

This is my absolute favorite book from when I was a kid. My sister used to read this to me and I loved it so much. It‘s a story about a girl who goes into an enchanted forest to find the farthest away mountain. It‘s magical and fun and truly ahead of its time with a female protagonist who is strong and independent!

This is my favorite Banks book. While less quotable than "Midas," and very, very short, the imagery in this book is some of the most amazing I've ever read. You can probably read this in less than an hour. But it will be a great hour.
