Super cute character design! I liked seeing all of the different animals, and the witch characters have really fun designs. It was great seeing the characters rise to face the crisis at the vet. Maybe needed a little more character depth, but I don‘t know if that‘s a common problem with short middle grade comics or not. Loved the end section walking through the comic creation process. #comic #middlegrade #bugbear #magicalCreatures
This was a cute beginning introducing us to Nan and Clarion, two apprentice veterinarians in training as they learn their way around the care and treatment of magical creatures. Clarion is sweet, friendly and bubbly. Nan is stressed being around people, and apparently comes from a family of dark magic users that everyone judges them on. Cute art and plenty of pastels, this is an adorable series so far.
I liked this one. The illustrations were great as well as the story. It's about two witch vet trainees who figure out different creature ailments on their own and have a crazy adventure. Love the creatures! and yes I will be looking forward to reading vol. 2.

For a short book, it was cute and included lovely illustrations. So glad that I got a dose of magic from this GN 💕

A cute ya graphic novel about some witches learning how to be vets to magical animals.
Fred-Fred says you should read this graphic novel, because it will help you learn how to take care of majestic beasts like him. He says it's a great middle-grade story, with good lessons and diverse characters. He also says you should scratch behind his ears and give him a piece of cheese.
Eee! So sweet! It took me under 10 minutes to read it and it was ten minutes well spent! And my cat thought it was pretty good too.
My plan for the evening.
This is such an adorable concept and the illustrations are fun, but the plot was dull and the characters over act- in a “Zoinks Scoob that‘s old man Winters in that swamp monster costume” kind of way... if that can be a thing in graphic novels. Perhaps that was the intention, just not my cuppa.
