Another bingo spot with this one. #NSR2024 @Nessavamusic
This is one of Kelly Armstrong's novels instead of being in a series. I liked the main character with an interesting past. She grew from a scared teen to a young woman with a good future. This one gave me three bingo spots in the #ISpyBingoFebruary. I am not giving up on the January Bingo 😉

#BookReport March 1-7, 2020 Completed: 1 book. I‘ve seen some unenthusiastic reviews but I couldn‘t put down this creepy, fast-paced read. I felt some questions were left unanswered but overall, I enjoyed this stand-alone that‘s part of the Secrets series, made up of 7 linked YA books by 7 different authors. I doubt Kelley Armstrong will write about these characters again but I‘d love to learn more about them & would definitely read a sequel!
More #LitsyPartyofOne... I put Interesting Times aside & switched to The Unquiet Past while I eat my oatmeal. I‘m only a few pages in and my interest is piqued. And I‘m a sucker for characters that love books 📚 ❤️ Love the 💔 description of how Tess feels with the loss of her books: “Gone. Her books were gone too. Tales of wild adventure and faraway places. And with them gone, it felt as if her dreams had burned to cinder.” 😭
I really liked this. I loved the super-creepy feeling at one point in the story. Wow, this author was very good with creating that creepy atmosphere! This is the second book I‘ve read in this series, and I do plan to continue on.
Not the best of her work. I didn‘t realize it was YA when I picked it up. Entertaining on audio but again not her best stuff. #33of2018
This was only okay. It felt like an early draft, and has a very deus ex machina ending.
This is a pretty good book in the Secrets Series, but it's not my favourite. It felt like Armstrong was pushing her paranormal writing style into a series that is mainly historical mystery in essence. It changed the overall arc of the series from a group of stories about different girls learning about their pasts to something less believable.
