Bk6 of August & #Rushathon & Bk1 of #20in4 #readathon is done. Thanks to everyone who sent me healing wishes. Burns suck. Especially when they‘re so big & in an awkward spot. And they sap your energy too. At least I finished one book this weekend! The 1st in The Women Of the Otherworld series, Elena Michaels is struggling with trying to have a life while her werewolf side tries to get out. Being the only female wolf makes her a prize for Mutts👇
Currently trying to read in bed in a LOT of pain. That happens when you drop a mug of just made herbal tea in your lap! Most of my upper thighs are covered in 2nd degree burns. So not recommended. I just can‘t get a break lately. Blisters & pain from scalds just plain suck balls. #20in4 #readathon #Rushathon
Ah, that satisfying moment when you decide to crawl into bed way too early with a book and just stay there. 😌
Thanks for the tag @ShelleyBooksie
1) Kelley Armstrong‘s Otherworld series
2) I alway say I am going to wait so I can binge them , but end up craving
3) I like either. I love series where the protognists changes but the other characters from the past books are interwoven in.

Day 16 of #BiblioMAYnia is #PurpleCover
This cover (first in the women of the otherWorld Series) is one of my favourites.
I am still very mad that they redesigned the covers part way through the series and now mine don‘t match though!

Have you ever picked up a book, started reading it and then found out it is part of a series? I‘m almost half through Bitten by Kelley Armstrong & just found out not only is it part of a series but it‘s part of a THIRTEEN novel series 😳. I randomly picked up this book at a book sale & now I have committed myself to 13 more books 🤣 because I don‘t know about you but I can‘t read just one book in a series.
“I held up my hand. "You're ranting."
"What?"
"Just wanted to let you know. You're ranting. It's kinda ugly. Next thing you know, you'll be laying out your plans for world domination. That's what all villains do after they rant about their #motivation. I was hoping you'd be different.”

A reread from long ago, chosen to check off a prompt, and because I lost my way around book ten of the series and need a restart to power through. I had a hard time with Elena and Clay‘s relationship, but I know over the series it will evolve. I prefer Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews‘ series, and other of Armstrong‘s series, but it‘s still good. As I recall the series gets better. I‘d call this a pick minus.
Loved the TV show so much, I bought the book. And the book is awesome! Sexy werewolves - enough said.
Any werewolf book recommendations? I love the idea of them but have yet to find one I actually love!
I've read Bitten and felt that Clay was toxic and could NOT stand the way that relationship played out. I've also read one Patricia Briggs book and felt it was overly romantic... all the "mate" language made me roll my eyes a lot.
Anything else out there?! I'm not ready to give up. Ginger Snaps is one of my favourite movies!!
I loved this book. I had watched The series first, not realizing there was a book, so when I stumbled across it at the library I was pleasantly surprised. The series definitely followed the book pretty well and changed only a few details. I am looking forward to reading more from The Otherworld series.
Book 26 for 2019
Let's try this again 😀
Day 1 #LiteraryLuck is my #TBRshelfie
There is no theme this month, it's just a combo of library hauls, books I've started and a few new recommendations. Also, my boys are ready for spring. #dogsoflitsy

“Now, I was well aware that certain sports required certain modes of dress for protection, but I failed to see how wearing a sleeveless blouse on the course qualified as a safety hazard. God #forbid the sight of my bare shoulders should send male golfers into a tizzy, knocking balls everywhere.” #QuotsyJan19
“...I couldn't imagine living somewhere without seasons...I'd miss the changes, the variety. Especially spring. I couldn't live without spring. Days like #today are worth every snowstorm and slush puddle. By March, it seems like winter will never end...But you know spring's coming. Every year, you wait for that first warm day, then the next and the next, each better than the last. You can't help but be happy." #QuotsyJan19
I think I am on episode 6 season 1 now. If i hadn't read the books it honestly would be good.
But having read the books...
Clayton still doesn't have a southern accent and now he is calling Elena "darling " and it just sounds wrong
Elena is still wearing too much make up. I mean who wakes up from bed with a fully made face?
And this romance with the Toronto boyfriend is dragging on and on
Little surprised at all the nudity. Lots of eye candy
A coworker of mine has challenged me to watch the TV series. 2 episodes down. Meh. Opinion still out (and I have a very strong opinion about Clayton Danvers because he is a book boyfriend).
So far Elena is too pretty for me. Too much makeup and heels
Clayton is not blond and has no southern drawl.
Found a new book seller and got these second hand books. Can‘t wait to get stuck in 😬 #betterworldbooks
When I think #Fierce I think of Elena Michaels from the Women of the Otherworld Series by Kelley Armstrong 💪🏻 #ReadingResolutions 📖

“The truth is, if a werewolf behaved like this psychopath it wouldn't be because he was part animal, but because he was still too #human. Only humans kill for sport.” #QuotsyMarch18
Elena Michaels is the only known female werewolf, but she grows tired of spending her life pursuing rogue werewolves and trying to control her temper and violence. She decides to leave her Pack and live in Toronto as a human, but the Pack leader calls in a favor, which leads Elena to try to help quell an uprising.

Love The Otherworld Series by Canadian author Kelley Armstrong! This one was my favorite!

#sizzlinsummerbooks Day 25: Supernatural.
I love Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series. Werewolves, witches and vampires, everything Supernatural.

#junebookbugs day 24: #urbanfantasy
Some urban fantasy series I've enjoyed.
I recently read an old post on Carringer's website on whether her Soulless series can be categorized as "urban fantasy" http://gailcarriger.com/2009/07/27/soulless-urban-fantasy-historical-paranormal/
And here's a list of completed urban fantasy series
https://www.barnesandnoble.com/blog/sci-fi-fantasy/16-complete-urban-fantasy-ser...
Today's #junebookbugs theme is Teeth, which immediately makes me think of vampires! And even though it's not vampires, I had to pull out Bitten to join the party. Werewolves are close enough, right?
Elena Michaels from bitten is described as slender and athletic with white blonde hair and blue eyes. Although a bit of a tom boy, it isn't just the fact that she is the only known female werewolf that makes her attractive! Maybe not quite a #BlondeBombshell but definitely a very attractive blonde 💕
Photo is from the series. It's okay, but none of the characters are as I imagined (especially Jeremy) and it diverges MASSIVELY from the books!
Although these are both great books, there is a similar storyline, and if I had to choose between them Bitten wins every time!
#ReadThisNotThat #MayBookFlowers
I know I'm very late to the party on this series, but this was a lot of fun. Elena is a pretty kick-ass heroine, but I'd love to see a few more women enter her circle in future volumes. I'll definitely continue with this series! #LitsyPartyOfOne
#booklove17 #day9 #puppylove Do werewolves count as puppies? I think so. This is the first three books in the werewolf arc in Kelley Armstrong's Women Of The Otherworld series. When Elena Michaels falls in love with the wild Clay Danvers, a professor at the University, she has no idea that he is also a werewolf. When he bites her, scared of losing her, she becomes the first and only female werewolf. Unable to forgive Clay, she runs from the pack.
As much as I want to read this one some time in the near future, I have decided that I cant leave the Lunar Chronicles unfinished. I'm such a scatter brain that I'm having a hard time reading two series haha. TO AMAZON!
Still the only book I've ever bailed on. It bugs me if I don't finish a book so I usually finish even if I hate it. #dnf #readjanuary
