Oh my God! It is like this author looked into my brain and was able to explain in words what I feel! I almost called in to work today so I could stay home and read more of this. Only about 100 pages in and I am just enthralled. ❤️. It is an 800 page book of sheer adventure.
Done!!! I finally finished this book!!!!! 800 pages of "this is a good book" and "I hate this book" and "I can't put it down" and "I have to bail". Still not sure what to think - just glad to be done ?
This book and the fact that it is a thousand degrees here in Houston had me wishing I was in Antarctica. Closest I could get today was the Images of the Southern Ocean exhibit at the museum.
Hemingway is looking at me like he can't believe I am STILL reading this book! It just goes on and on and on.....
So far I have clocked a little over 10 hours so far. Definitely won't make 24 hours but would like to beat my last readathon which was a little over 16 hours. This 800 page book may have not been the best idea for a readathon --it doesn't feel like I am making any progress! Now I'm gonna speed clean my house while listening to Al Franken #24in48

Someone needs to take this book away from me so I can get some work done!!! I don't want to put it down but there's this stupid thing called a job 😫
It is 1000 degrees in Houston today so I'm headed somewhere cooler with my next book ❄️❄️
