Things I learned from the special interview at the end of this novel:
--this is the author's first book (whaaaat)
--one of the author's son wrote the music used during the audiobook (how cool is that?)
--the author is a Korean immigrant who used to be a lawyer and who has a child who was treated with an HBOT (!!)

Wowza, still thinking about this one. Korean immigrants own a hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic to treat autism (and other things), when a fire kills two patients and injures others (that's not a spoiler, that's the first chapter!) We follow several characters over the four day trial to unravel what happened.

But it's more than that. Every few chapters the author says something that makes me put the book down and wonder about all the grey areas.👇

LaraS Who should decide medical treatments for children? Should a lawyer's main focus be defending their client or finding the truth? If your actions are directly responsible for someone else's decisions, how culpable are you? A lot going on in this book, but still a page-turner. #IntegrateYourShelf @chasingom @emilymdxn thanks for the prompt :) 3y

This weekend was crazy. I tried to sit outside this morning I lasted 5 minutes. Just to hot ! Steps are already behind for the week but I'll try and make it up later.
Goal changes for me....not worrying about my steps I have 75 lbs of peaches to prep and freeze this week. I hope everyone has a great week!

This is an incredibly moving thriller, mystery, family drama, ect. There are so many themes in this debut novel by Angie Kim that it cannot be described with just one. It‘s a story about how far parents will go for their children and the lies told between spouses. It‘s also a courtroom drama that will keep you turning the pages.

Eggs I‘m reading this today, 70% done! 5y
