Starting this today after taking part in a discussion about it on Facebook. I have some friends and family members who say this book is great, and others who all but accuse the author of heresy. Some of the criticisms I've heard sound somewhat overzealous IMO... I bought the Nook edition today, deciding that it's time to form my own opinion!

Adam_Z The most balanced criticism I've heard is that there are important facets of Jesus that are completely ignored. Jesus is always a comforter and encourager in the text, but doesn't ever call the reader to repentance or change. Idk... I'm reading with an open mind, but I'm not forgetting that I'm reading something written by Sarah Young and not Jesus. I'll surely be supplementing this with other material in my time of meditation. 8y

LauraBeth @Adam_Z people love to conveniently forget the last line in John 8 where Jesus said to "leave your life of sin." It's tough to manage the tension of grace and truth like Jesus did. 8y
