Giving Thanks was published in 1995 and is a good book choice to read around Thanksgiving as it is a message of peace and thankfulness for all the blessings of the earth. Emphasizing the importance of what our world has to offer and how we should be thankful for what we have been given. I would recommend this story to all age groups, I believe it is one of the better options to read to children.
Today we delivered over 200 bouquets of flowers to doctors, nurses and essential workers. The flowers were purchased from a flower farmer whose business has had to shutter during Covid19. It was a win win and a nice way to say thanks to all these heroes who work day & night to keep us all safe. Proud to be part of a wonderful community of caring individuals. #StayPositive #PayItForward #GivingThanks

I am trying to counterbalance the falsehoods about the holiday with books that are truthful and give native voices a chance to be heard. This is a wonderfully illustrated, child-friendly adaptation of the Mohawk Thanksgiving address. Some spiritual elements, but the thankfulness is mostly focused on the things around us every day.
