Not to be all "snowflakey" but this book is pissing me off. It's repeatedly dismissed bullying and "victim shamed" the kid who's being bullied. And the main character has a six week old baby and her best friend keeps bullying her about needing to lose weight and shaming her for "letting herself go"... Six weeks after giving birth ... I'm just trying to earn points for #scarathlon #teamslaughter though, otherwise I'd stop this crap.

@Clwojick

madamereadsalot1 This comment is made in a conversation had between parents of two of the bullies. The one speaking is the town cop... 😑 5y
madamereadsalot1 She has actually moved onto making the bullied kid "socially acceptable", instead of really working on the bullies to cut their shit. ? 5y
MidnightBookGirl I enjoy cozy mysteries now and then, but a lot that I've read have been problematic with regards to bullying and slutshaming. 5y
madamereadsalot1 @MidnightBookGirl I'm sure I've probably read cozy mysteries before, but I really don't recall any specifics. I don't know that this is really my speed ... It feels like a story for pretentious white housewives. I can honestly say I won't be reading any more of this lady. 5y
Eyelit 😡 that‘s really frustrating 5y
