Worth reading and deserve a “Pick“ choice. It took a day to finish this book as it was far more than my expectations. 😄

How far we can go to save and protect the ones we love the most? How strong is the unconditional love of the mother to the child?

One solved mystery, love, pain and sacrifice. This book touched my heart and I am looking forward to reading more like this and explore more by Sarah Jio.

Also started this. My “fruit” title for the What‘s in a Name Challenge. I‘ve had it forever in my dreaded (where good books go to be forgotten)

I think this is my favorite Sarah Jio book, so far. It's about a little boy gone missing in 1933, and a reporter that lost her baby a year ago. How digging into the little boy's story helps her heal.

This was my first book for the #ReadingWomenChallenge - a book with a food item in the title. Her books are always good when I want something a little lighter and quicker and they‘re set in Seattle, a city I love.

Sarah Jio has been hit or miss for me....some of hers I‘ve really enjoyed and others have been just lukewarm. I thought this was one of her better ones. She tied the past and present together nicely. A quick but pleasant read.

Spent my evening with a blind date from the library and was pleasantly surprised. A quick, well-paced mystery about a missing boy and a reporter who needs to heal. Definitely heavy-handed in spots and a few too many “lucky” coincidences but the writing kept me engaged and suspended my disbelief.

Counting down the hours until I'm back to work by finishing my 4th book in 6 days! This one was equal parts mystery and historical novel, with a dash of romance added. I did end up enjoying it despite the fact that it was way too predictable (I could see the big twist coming from a mile away. I HATE that). A nice, light, entertaining read.

I love Sarah Jio's novels, this one tugged on my heartstrings because of the little kid involvement. Jio has a thing for having the past parallel the present & she does it very well. Tissues for this one.

This book. Wow. What a page turner. This book had been on my tbr list for a while and I'm so glad I finally got to read it. I love a good mystery and these characters really stuck with me. I'm looking forward to reading more by Sarah Jio.

Loved the Bungalow. So far, Blackberry Winter is great. Hard to put down!
