There are so many ways to communicate. Is talking overrated? The kids in my daughters class, as they read this book with me, practiced not talking or only using three words at a time. I think it made them more thoughtful when choosing their words. Cute, fast and easy.

I have read a LOT of Andrew Clements. But this is by far my absolutely favorite. I give it to all new teachers I know their first year, and if I am lucky enough to work with kids book clubs, I do this book every time.

I'm an introverted teacher. When I get home after 8 hours of teaching, all I want us to sit in the quiet and read. My hubs comes home an hour later and wants to chat all night. #booknerdproblems #photoadaynov16 @RealLifeReading
