Post partum is F-ing hard. First time since last Sunday night (before he was born) that I‘m touching a book. Despite being weepy, emotional, and exhausted- I figured a little self care in between feedings is needed.

Bklover Definitely! Wesley is adorable - I do remember the weepy emotional days though. Sending you a hug. Don‘t worry about the box - there‘s money in it to mail the cheese slicer on to my friend Tami. Don‘t worry abouT it for a few months though. Take care of yourself and enjoy that little punkin! Tami is a good friend and knows me well. She thought it was hysterical that I mailed you her slicer. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 3y
alisiakae Big hugs. Don't be afraid to reach out for support wherever you can during those early days of parenthood. My daughter had colic, and I remember spending hours pacing my apartment with her in a sling with a book in my hand, since there was no chance of sleeping since she woke up every time I stopped moving! I don't think I remembered anything I read 😆, but having the book in my hand was comforting. 3y
eanderson It gets better! Your body went through a lot so it‘s ok to be emotional and weepy. I had a very challenging labor (38 hours and 3 hours of pushing) and cried every day for 3 weeks. Then it changed. Stay comfy, cuddly with baby, and take care!!! 3y

Elizabeth2 Please reach out to friends and other moms you know. If you can, find a moms‘ group on a social network. I guarantee you will find people who understand what you are going through and sometimes just knowing you are not alone is enough. It is so very hard and we need to find our support system to make it through. Sending you light. 3y

crazyspine Congratulations! You got this. I'm only 20 weeks, so I have this in my future. Trying to rest and read while I can. 3y
BethM @crazyspine congrats! Honestly I had no clue it would be this hard. 3y
Chrissyreadit I missed your posts!!! And yes! I had depression too with both my pregnancies. Do not be afraid to ask for help and let people help you. Also be kind, exhaustion, hormone changes and new routines are all challenging- but especially exhaustion! Sending you big comfort hugs ❤️ (edited) 3y
BethM @Chrissyreadit thank you 😘 3y
Palimpsest I didn‘t realize you had your baby. Congrats! I agree with @Chrissyreadit. I realize with covid it must be difficult, but don‘t be afraid to ask someone to help. It‘s exhausting, it‘s new, you‘re supposed to be overjoyed, but sometimes it is just overwhelming. Sleep when the baby sleeps. I remember feeling off, but didn‘t realize how much until months had passed I was so anxious. It changes. My son is now 5. He‘s the best thing! Take care! @BethM 3y
BethM @Palimpsest thank you 😘 3y
