so-soOkay, from a 'congratulations, you produced an emotional impact!' perspective, I understand the choices made. Even from a statement about long-running toxic cycles of violence, which could be heavily attached to the patriarchy, I get the choices made. But between this and Saga, I am so very, VERY over Vaughan fridging the love interest to further the plot. Having consumed much of it, I'm now going on an extended break from his work.

A very satisfying conclusion with all the feels. Im pretty pleased to have stuck with the series. The author has an uncanny way of making you feel deeply for his characters, he also knows how to break your heart.

pickAddictive. Unputdownable. Compelling. Devastating. Provoking. Beautiful. Thoughtful. This book, this series is all that & more. I know graphic novels can be a reach for some people, science fiction equally so, BUT, the best examples of each, alone or together, can, & do, transcend format and/or genre in the genius of their storytelling & in doing so demonstrate that format & genre really matter less than the story. This is one of the best. ❤️😍❤️
pickHmmm. I'm not sure how I feel about the ending, specifically the last couple of pages. Overall, I liked this series but there were definitely problems with epithet dialogue. Borderline misogynistic language, words used way too often, stereotypical women and the most annoying man boy to survive. There also wasn't as much character development with the man boy. I'm glad I read the series and am equally as glad to be finished with it.
pickI'll review the whole run here, as I feel that reviewing individual volumes and issues is too difficult. This is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ series. BKV makes readers think over some hard questions, and some difficult scenarios. The art is beautiful and classic. The storyline is tragic, heart wrenching and uplifting. I laughed, I cried and I became angry. Overall 👍👍
On the last two volumes of this gem!! Loving this series! A plague hits the world wiping out everything with that Y Chromosome, except for one. How do women change the world? For the good or for the worse? And what exactly happened? I'm about to find out! #currentlyreading
