A friend gave this to me since we've been on a spooky book kick recently.
I was super confused having seen the miniseries by Stephen King how this related. As it turns out this was part of their marketing for the miniseries, which I find super cool.
It's an easy read and I think it's done really well. I've read some books acting as diaries or letters that just don't follow the format but this reads as a diary.

I actually really loved this. I have read it a couple of times. I also loved the mini series. If you are interested give it a chance.

I loved the miniseries Rose Red when it came out, so when I found this book at a local bookstore a few years ago I just had to have it.

Well, I need to add the Thornewood Castle (where they filmed Rose Red) to my go to list since it's only 4 hours away 🤷‍♀️ I've had this book a while and upon googling found it was made as marketing material for the Rose Red miniseries, but haven't read it yet. Rose Red is on my to watch list for this month.

I really enjoyed this book. It‘s a different format than I‘m used to. I think the last diary book I read was Anne Frank. I haven‘t seen the miniseries since it aired. I need to see if I have it on dvd somewhere.

On the way to Vegas with some friends and we each have the role of a typical family. My sister and her girlfriend are in the front being mom and dad. My friend and I are in the back. He‘s playing a video game and I‘m reading. 😂

Day 1. Current read. The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer. It‘s a tie-in novel for the Rose Red mini series by Ridley Pearson. Joyce Reardon is a fictional character who appears in the mini series. #30junebooks

Since I‘m unable to fall back asleep, I‘ll post my next book. This looks interesting and should keep me entertained at work today.

2/5⭐ I like the Rose Red TV mini series, but these characters didn't feel like the ones in the show or like fleshed-out people at all. I wasn't thrilled with the audio narration. Nothing was scary, especially because we're being told it in a diary entry after the fact. The weird sexual dynamic at the end seemed bizarrely out of place. I recommend any fans of the show just fill in the blanks of the Rimbauers with their own ideas. #OWLsReadathon2019

Rose Red took me about half the book to get into. I expected not to like the book with how long it took me to find interest, but by the end, I was intrigued by the idea of Rose Red and the game that the novel plays with the readers head.

Okay guys here is my #MonthlyWrapUp for November. I can't believe this month is over already. I've been taking it a little easier for the end of the year. as you can see my numbers are not as they usually are. December is definitely another month! 😁

Amazing read! One of my all-time favorites ❤️ I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes strong female characters and horror novels.

Mine is tagged. I almost didn't read it because I thought it was just an adaptation of the made-for-tv movie. Come to find out it was actually the prequel to the movie. I absolutely adore this book ❤️🖤❤️

celebrating the season with some Stephen King tonight. Rose Red is my favorite- such history!! Other favorites include Storm of the Century and Tommy Knockers.

⭐️⭐️ Stopped the Bardo audiobook. Couldn't handle that switching every sentence mess. Now listening to this one, which my library listed Stephen King as the author. 😬

My current night time read. 😊 Reading it in a dark room is a little creepy but fun!
