#SundayFunday @ozma.of.oz such a lovely prompt! So many childhood favorites, specially nearly everything Enid Blyton has written!

The School at the Chalet by Elinor Brent-Dyer is the first in the much-loved Chalet School series of school stories. This is where it all began!

A lovely bookish Christmas gift all the way from India. My dear friend sent me this gorgeous edition of ‘Jo of the Chalet School‘. I‘ve been told this book (2nd in the series) is particularly festive & filled with wonderful descriptions of wintertime & the holidays. I‘m planning on diving into this little gem over the Christmas holiday. It‘s currently residing on my nightstand, & every time I see it, I get so excited to pick it up in a few days.
I am in book geek heaven - I‘m at a conference for School girl literature from the 20th century this weekend. So excited.
#Heyjune I adored the Chalet School books when I was younger. In Jo returns Jo learns the hard way that. Being a #paperbackwriter is harder than she thought! @Cinfhen @MinDea

Especially for @Itchyfeetreader and @LeahBergen here‘s my Chalet Shelves. At the top, my old paperbacks. Underneath, the new reprints of the unabridged hardback text. Also included: some ballet books and a few other childhood favourites.
Taken a while and photo not great (but kindly snapped by my dad) as promised - here is my Chalet School collection. Note the later reprints in annoyingly different cover style, the fact my mum has been dusting and put back in a slightly odd order and the fact I was a lot tougher on spines of books as a kid (plus they have all been read at least ten times)
Oops! I almost forgot to post this photo. Here‘s my little collection (so far 😉) of Chalet School books.

I'm collecting some books for my sort-of-niece. She's started reading Enid blyton and pony stories. So I think she may be nearly ready for my favourite boarding school series of all time. These are some of my duplicates (and a couple of pony books), you can see some of my collection behind to the right!
As a kid I had a real soft spot for the chalet school books (i still own all 62!) so could not resist one of Brent-Dyers other novels when I found it last week. This contains an inscription from 1930. #guiltypleasure but lots of fun and an absolute easy read!
Again not the right book, but I had to share my charity shop find: 12 Chalet School books, in lovely condition, in my favourite style. I already have some of these, but I had to buy them all...
Not the right book (couldn't find leader in... In the database) but I don't think I've read this Chalet School before - which is surprising to me!
